Vredendal Dolomitic Lime

Dolomitic lime is obtained from dolostone or dolomitic limestone that is predominantly composed of the mineral dolomite. Agricultural dolomitic lime is one of the most cost effective ways of correcting magnesium deficiencies in soil. The finely crushed powder, available in bulk, is also an effective soil neutraliser used to regulate pH balance in acidic soils.

Why Use Vredendal Dolomitic Lime?

Vredendal Dolomitic Lime is used to:

  • Correct magnesium deficiencies
  • Supply calcium to the soil, which is an essential constituent for cell wall development
  • Enhance the efficiency of fertiliser by increasing the uptake of nitrogen, phosphate, calcium, magnesium and other essential plant nutrients.
